The LiveJournal control is mal-designed.

The disable link doesn't work.

The cookie didn't last (and I didn't clear it.)

So it's come to this:

root@caspian # more /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 spa.snap.com # keeps the st00pid out.

An update or so ago LiveJournal made (yet another) boneheaded move and added a misfeature from snap.com that does nothing but get in the way. I have yet to see anyone besides the folks making the announcement claim this was a good idea. But, it can be turned off. In a disappointingly limited way.
